Rise and ride, Scouts! We're kicking off the day with a sunrise spin through the Latenight Loop, 3 Mile Smile, and maybe even a splash of Rubber Duckybecause nothing says good morning like dodging cacti and chasing desert shadows on two wheels.

This isn't just a rideit's a rite of passage. Expect early-morning chill, dusty grins, and the kind of trail banter that only happens before breakfast.

There is no fee for this activity. A mountain bike, helmet, and some water are required. Gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, and snacks are recommended. We will probably be on trail for 2-1/2 to 3 hours but time flies when you're sending it!

We plan on meeting at the Late Night trailhead on Highway 160 at 7AM sharp to start our ride! If you need to transport you bike, we can arrange meeting at the church parking lot if there is a need.

Activity: Cit. in the Society MB, First Aid Scenarios, and Rank Advancements/Patrol Time

At this meeting we will be holding the Citizenship in the society merit badge for those who have signed up. Please have your prerequisites for this badge at the meeting with you. 
For those not attending the merit badge, you will work through a few first aid scenarios. After, scouts will be working on rank advancements and patrol time. Patrols need to work through any kinks for their patrol campouts in the new future. 
Some scouts have earned to pie an adult leader in the face by selling popcorn! Dont miss out on the fun!

What is JOTA?

Jamboree-on-the-Air, or JOTA, is the largest Scouting event in the world. It is held annually the third full weekend in October. JOTA uses amateur radio to link Scouts and hams around the world, around the nation, and in your own community.
Communication typically involves talking on a microphone and listening on the station speakers. However, many forms of specialized communication may also be taking place, such as video communication, digital communication (much like sending a message on your smartphone but transmitted by radio), or communication through a satellite relay or an earth-based relay (called a repeater). The exchanges include such information as name, location (called QTH in ham speak), Scout rank, age, and hobbies. The stations you'll be communicating with can be across town, across the country, or even around the world!

Pack 219 is holding a Tent or Treat on Sunday, Oct 19th at Cougar Creek Park. They are looking for scouts and families to sponsor a Tent, Campsite, Table, or Game for their party.

Bring your tent, camping gear, decoration, and plan to set up around 1p. Or bring a table to decorate, or game to play.

Cub Scouts will arrive by 2p. Candy, treats, toys, and prizes will be available to pass out.

Be kind to your tent, please refrain form adding decorations to your tent that could destroy it. 

Costumes are highly encouraged.

We will probably be finished by 3:30p

You can receive service hours for helping with this event.

At this meeting the troop will plan out Halloween party activities that will be done by each patrol, or joined patrols, and we will plan out our campout for the Scout Expo which is coming up this weekend!

Activity: Halloween Party!

In this meeting we will be having our Halloween Party and welcoming some scouts checking out the troop. 

Everyone be sure to bring some desserts for the Halloween bake-off! You can bring them pre decorated, and the winner will receive a prize!! I hope everyone has a great time!

Patrol leaders, please make sure your plans for the meeting are set and known with your patrols. Bring any resources needed for the patrol stations. Scouts in Patrols, feel free to ask your Patrol Leader if your Patrol has everything they need for your game.
